GSA Lead ☀️

🟢   Open - Accepting Applications

At Fiveable, we deeply value all of the identities that our community members have. We also know that not everyone has access to welcoming, affirming communities, and we want to change that. Our GSA connects students who identify within the LGBTQ+ community and provides support and resources.

We’re looking for students who care about their peers and are passionate about LGBTQ+ issues. You should thrive in group environments and excel in public speaking and communication. You should be empathetic and accepting of many different lived experiences. Additionally, you should be available on a weekly basis to help facilitate club discussions and meeting, and should be able to create engaging content for GSA members.

This role is only available for high schoolers and is an unpaid, volunteer position. Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, so please be patient with our team!

Our mission and team

Our mission is to make learning easy and fun. We know that educational inequities have left students overwhelmed and fending for themselves. In order to close the opportunity gap, we need to create space for students to be creative and curious. To do this, we've created a social network for online learning communities through interactive content and courses. Because of COVID, we're in a lightning strike moment for education and we're fired up to change the way things are for high school students.

We're a creative group of former teachers, community builders, game designers, and generally curious people who are driven by social impact. We're focused on building a diverse team and are inclusive of all backgrounds. And we're big on growth mindsets - we're all learning!
