Notation refers to the symbols, abbreviations, and conventions used in mathematics to represent quantities, operations, functions, and relationships between variables.
Notation is like using emojis in text messages. Each emoji represents an idea or emotion without having to write out the entire word. Similarly, mathematical notation allows us to express complex ideas concisely using symbols instead of lengthy explanations.
Variables: Variables are symbols used to represent unknown quantities or values that can change.
Functions: Functions are mathematical relationships between inputs (variables) and outputs. They are often represented by equations or formulas.
Operations: Operations are mathematical actions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc., performed on numbers or variables.
