A substance is said to be oxidized when it loses electrons during a chemical reaction.
Oxidation Reaction: This is the process where oxidation occurs - where an atom, ion, or molecule loses electrons.
Redox Reaction: A type of reaction involving both reduction and oxidation processes. It's like going on multiple rides at the amusement park - sometimes you gain buddies, sometimes you lose them!
Electron Donor: The substance that gives away its electrons during a redox reaction. It's like being generous and letting your buddies go on other rides without you.
