Density dependent factors are environmental factors that affect a population's size and growth rate based on the population's density. These factors become more influential as the population becomes more crowded.
Imagine you're at a party with limited snacks. As more people arrive, the snacks get consumed faster, making it harder for everyone to get enough food. Similarly, density dependent factors like competition for resources can limit population growth when there are too many individuals in an area.
Competition: The struggle between individuals of the same or different species for limited resources.
Predation: The act of one organism (predator) hunting and consuming another organism (prey).
Disease Outbreaks: The rapid spread of infectious diseases within a dense population due to close proximity and increased contact.
