Solar power refers to harnessing sunlight and converting it into usable electrical or thermal energy using solar panels or solar collectors.
Think of solar power as a superhero cape made entirely out of sunlight. When you wear it (use solar panels), you can absorb sunlight and convert it into superpowers (electricity).
Photovoltaic Cells (PV): Devices that directly convert sunlight into electricity by utilizing the photovoltaic effect.
Solar Thermal Energy: The use of solar energy to generate heat, which can be used for various purposes like heating water or powering turbines.
Solar Farm: Large-scale installations of solar panels that collectively generate a significant amount of electricity.
