The Eastern Hemisphere is a geographical term for the half of Earth which is east of the prime meridian (which crosses Greenwich, London, UK) and west of the antimeridian. It includes Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
Western Hemisphere: This refers to the half of Earth which lies west of the prime meridian and east of the antimeridian. It includes North and South America.
Prime Meridian: This is a planet's meridian adopted as zero degrees longitude, from which all other longitudes are calculated.
Antimeridian: This is a line on the opposite side of Earth from a given prime meridian - essentially 180° longitude.
