Feminism is a social and political movement advocating for equal rights for women in all aspects of life, including political, social, economic, personal, and cultural spheres.

Suffrage Movement: This was a decades-long fight to win voting rights for women in the United States and many other countries around the world. It took activists nearly 100 years to win that right in America.

Gender Equality: This term refers to the state in which access to rights or opportunities is unaffected by gender. It's like having an equal slice of pie regardless if you're male or female.

Patriarchy: A system of society or government in which men hold power and women are largely excluded from it. Imagine a school where only boys are allowed to be class presidents - that's patriarchy.
