The Legitimist Party was a royalist political faction in France during the 19th century. They supported the senior line of House Bourbon for the French throne following the overthrowing of King Charles X during July Revolution in 1830.
Bourbon Restoration: Refers to period following fall Napoleon Bonaparte when monarchy was restored in France under House Bourbon between 1814-1830.
July Monarchy: A liberal constitutional monarchy in France under Louis Philippe I starting with July Revolution (1830). Ended with February Revolution (1848).
Charles X: King of France from 1824 until 1830. His rule was marked by his ultra-royalist policies which led to the July Revolution, ending his reign.
