A patriarchal system is a social system in which males hold primary power. They predominate roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege while females are largely excluded from these roles.
Matriarchy: This is essentially opposite of patriarchy where females hold primary power instead of males.
Gender Roles: These are societal norms dictating what types behaviors are generally considered acceptable or appropriate based on someone's perceived sex.
Feminism: This is a socio-political movement that aims to establish equal rights and legal protection for women.
