League of Nations: An international organization proposed by President Wilson in his Fourteen Points. It aimed at promoting world peace but was ineffective due largely to the non-participation of major powers like the U.S.

Fourteen Points: A statement given by President Wilson proposing fair and lasting peace after World War I. It included ideas such as self-determination for nations and a League of Nations.

Treaty of Versailles: The treaty that ended World War I, which incorporated many of the principles outlined in Wilson's Fourteen Points, but also imposed harsh penalties on Germany.
