The Flemish independence movement is a political and cultural campaign in Belgium that advocates for the autonomy or independence of Flanders, a region where Dutch (Flemish) is predominantly spoken.
Nationalism: A strong identification with and loyalty to one's nation, often accompanied by the belief in its superiority over other nations.
Autonomy: The right or condition of self-government, usually within a larger political entity.
Secession: The action of withdrawing formally from membership of a federation or body, especially a political state.
