Detective characters are investigators who solve mysteries or crimes within a story. They use their intelligence, observation skills, deductive reasoning, and sometimes intuition to uncover clues and reveal the truth.
Think of detective characters as human versions of Sherlock Holmes. They have sharp minds like detectives on crime shows - always piecing together evidence like puzzles until they crack the case wide open.
Protagonist: The main character in a story, who often takes on the role of the detective.
Antagonist: The character or force that opposes the protagonist and may be responsible for the mystery or crime.
Red Herring: A misleading clue or piece of information intentionally planted to divert attention from the real solution.
