The chromatic scale is a musical scale consisting of all twelve pitches within an octave. It includes both the white and black keys on the piano keyboard.
Imagine a painter's palette with all the colors available - just like how the chromatic scale includes all possible pitches within an octave.
Half Step (Semitone): The smallest interval used in Western music, equivalent to moving from one key on a piano to its adjacent key.
Enharmonic Equivalent: Two different names for the same pitch, such as C# and Db.
