Charge separation occurs when positive and negative charges are moved apart from each other. This creates an imbalance of charges in a system.
Imagine a group of friends playing tug-of-war. When they evenly distribute themselves on both sides, there is no charge separation. However, if some friends decide to switch teams, creating an uneven distribution, charge separation occurs.
Electric Field: The region around charged objects where electric forces are exerted on other charged objects.
Induction: The process of charging an object without direct contact by bringing it near a charged object.
Coulomb's Law: A law that describes the force between two charged objects, which depends on their charges and the distance between them.
