Culture refers to shared patterns of behaviors, beliefs, and values that a group of people use to interpret and interact with their world. It includes aspects like language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts.
Think about culture as a playlist on your music app. Each song (or element) is different - some are upbeat (festivals), some are slow (traditions), others might be instrumental (language). But together they create a unique mix that defines your taste – just as various elements come together to define a culture.
Societal Norms: Rules developed by a society that guide how individuals within the group should behave. These can vary greatly between cultures.
Ethnocentrism: The belief in the inherent superiority of one's own ethnic group or culture. This can often lead to misunderstanding or conflict between cultures.
Cultural Diffusion: The spread of cultural beliefs and activities from one society to another which can occur through various means including migration, trade or warfare.
