The process of creating objects from iron or its alloys through forging, casting or other techniques.
Ironworking is like baking a cake from scratch. You start with raw ingredients (iron ore), apply heat (baking), then shape it into something useful or decorative (cake).
Blacksmithing: The craft of shaping heated iron into tools or weapons by hammering.
Smelting: The process used to extract a metal (like iron) from its ore using heat and usually also flux to melt away impurities.
Iron Age: The period in human history when iron became the most commonly used material for making tools and weapons.
