Politics is a process by which groups make decisions. It involves negotiation, debate and decision-making within groups including governments and corporations.
Imagine politics as a game of chess where different pieces (representing political parties or individuals) move around trying to strategize their way into having control over the board (the country or corporation).
Democracy: A system of government where power is vested in the people who rule either directly or through freely elected representatives.
Autocracy: A system of government where one person has all power; examples include dictatorships and absolute monarchies.
Bipartisanship: Cooperation between two political parties that usually oppose each other's policies.
