Definition

The dependent variable is a variable whose values depend on another variable(s). In mathematical equations or experiments, it represents the output or response that changes based on the independent variable(s).

Function: A function is a relationship between two sets of variables, where each input (independent variable) corresponds to exactly one output (dependent variable).

Linear Equation: A linear equation represents a straight line when graphed and can involve both an independent and dependent variable. It shows how changes in one affect changes in the other.
